Decent lighting for Park Lane

I am very pleased to report, that the problem originally reported in August of poor street lighting in Park Lane, has now been solved.  Builders have installed lighting along the hoarding, which now means the road is properly lite during the building work.

Keep Clear Signs for Park Side

I am very pleased to report that at Thursdays Area Committee meeting, it was agreed to install “Keep Clear” signs at the junction of Park Side and the Broadway.  This will make it easier for residents to turn right out onto The Broadway.

Keeping the Official Cheam Charter Day

Today is officially Cheam Charter Fair Day.  In order to full fill the Charter, which says a market must be held in Park Road on May 15th, residents have put up stalls outside Cheam Baptist Church in Park Road and outside Whitehall.

Obsolete No Parking Sign

I am guessing that this “No Parking” sign in Cheam Park, overlooking Parkside Road and the new Parkside development is rather obsolete.  Especially as road now has a padlocked gate at both the top and bottom. I have therefore written to Sutton Council and asked them to remove it.
